Default Can I afford one???

So - got an invite last week for an Audi Leeds open day for this weekend, but can't make it...

Tonight I get a call from Audi Leeds seeing if I will be turning up - I inform him that I can't. He mentions that I currently have an A8 and would I be looking to change it soon to which I reply yes.

Well, Audi will stump up a discount of £10k towards the cost of a new one - ain't that generous.....

He is going to ring me next week for a chat............. can't wait - how much more can I get off the car then

sounds great, so you only need to stump up another 55Kish if you dont want too many extras.

buy 2 and see if they knock off anymore,

or perhaps they will give you anther 10k to px yours

I nearly sold mine to take a new one about 18 months ago.. They pony up 10kish... and it's 400 a month of something for a 3.0tdi SE, sounded awesome and then I re-read it as the sums didn't make sense.. I needed to give them 10k too and then walk away after 3 years (or buy the car)..

So.. erm.. naw!

These cars lose at least 10k as soon as you put the first reg plate on them. Far better to wait three years (at least) and let someone else take the hit - and, with newer ones, iron out the niggly faults…

Agreed, there is a trickle of D4s coming to market at sub £20k now, those are the ones to be looking at, though of course they're still going to be losing a bucket load of cash over coming years

Paying list would be insane. Just log onto www.drivethedeal.com and there are dealers out there willing to sell new factory orders at 38,700. Yes a 20K discount. They will discount options as well.

I think a realistic price for a new 3.0 A8 Quattro is somewhere around the 35-38K mark. The remaining 200hp front wheel drive A8's are on big discounts as well.

Or at the very least you could get a new S8 for the same money as a list 3.0.
