Fun last few days - not
 Struggled to get the fan off and not going to pay for the specialized tool from Audi so looked to see what I could use and stumbled across a tool from Machine Mart (£5) that did the trick (with a lot of additions to it) and got the fan off  Got the Thermostat out and put the new and old in a pan and boiled the water - guess which one opened   So - put the new one in and put most of the car back together. Hopefully get it all back tomorrow and see what happens. Cheers
