How about simple screenshot of the PDF in full screen mode, crop it in Paint (windows app), save as JPG and embed it the usual way ??

Thanks for the suggestions - esp Dezzy, I think my problem is partly 'cos I have already had some "apple juice". That inhibits me from finding how to get a screenshot, crop it in paint, save it as a jpg etc
I was just looking to select some text and drawing from a .pdf and then paste into the post. I dont need the whole pdf. Others seem to be able to select stuff from, e.g. ETKA, and then do that - or I am wrong?

Depends on what OS your using.

In windows its the snipping tool and mac its preview-take screenshot.

Then upload the pic to the forum.

+1 on the Snipping tool if using Windows. You can save it easily from there and then upload.

Yeh, I use the snipping tool or the snapshot tool in pdf. I was just hoping that there was an easy way to then right click on the text/graphic selected by the snapshot tool and then paste it into the post thus avoiding the saving stage.

No unfortunately that's not possible. The code on the forum is quite old and honestly the picture upload side of things here is really irritating compared to other sites running newer code.

Content and people though is a different story so I suffer the annoyance.

I use screenshots, crop the images, stitch the images together

Then if I was posting directly to the forum I would attach the file and open the file, copy the URL and add as an image.

Edit, attachment added as image
