Default Rear Door - Metal panels

Sick of seeing the bubbling on the metal infills in the rear doors.
The off-side one was really bad (forgot to take pics of before and after but a shot of it near the end:

The nearside one is not as bad:

Primer on:

Weather changed - managed to get some paint on but didn't take a pic.
If the weather is good tomorrow then will post picks up when finished.

Cheers

Used some spray I had left over (working on my van)!
Used some etch primer followed by filler primer.
Then I had a can of black metallic enamel paint.

Works quite well

Nice job.
Easyer than taking them off I guess?

Would this be covered by the anti corrosion warranty?

Not to difficult to be honest (used to spraying and working on my van)
Regards the warranty - probably but can't be bothered - too much hassle!!

To be honest doesn't look to bad (might chuck some lacquer on though) so will leave them for now

I've actually been meaning to post about the very same thing! I was expecting a complete head ache of trying to remove them thought, never though about painting in-situ. Great idea!

Another one for the to do list.

Finally finished (not brilliant but better than the bubbly paint )

Bought some gloss black paint as the paint I was using did irk me a bit with it being metallic!

Work on the why the keyless entry and ignition no longer work now

Looks like a job very well done to me
Even if isn't perfect as you saying, you are right by saying that it's better than the bubbling paint
