Car no longer recognises the key
Help
My car has keyless entry and engine starting and since I changed by car battery some months ago it no longer works  Is it a VCDS session to get it recognised or is there a process that I can follow?? Cheers

I haven't done it myself, but have you tried maybe Adaptation??
Check for DTCs as this may tell you if its just wrong settings or a malfunction

OK, then this should help you at least a little.
PM me your address and I will send you (gift) a spare cable I've got. It's not a Ross-Tech one, it's a VAG Commander Full, but at least you'll be able to read the DTCs. I'm sure you'll be able to do more than that, but I never managed to explore this cable and software fully. You can download software here: http://www.resettools.com/vag_can_commander_5.1_full AS far as I remember, you can't use it on a laptop which is connected to the internet, but software doesn't need install so you can keep it on a USB stick and all you will have to make sure is remember to switch off all the internet connections before plugging in the USB stick and running the software.

Did they code the new battery in to the car?
Not sure what issues it would cause not coding it.

There is also a USB driver folder when you unzip it, you may have to install it if laptop is not recognizing the cable
