That is lovely.

A good jump from a D2 as well I suspect.

Be nice to see if gets to 171k like the D2.

Well done mate lovely motor welcome to the D4 section

Does this mean there will be more people in this section now

I'm loving mine, nearly 50mpg on the ride into work today A/B roads and 5 miles of M/way. I filled it up last weekend £108 but the tank seems to last for ages! Everyone comments how quiet it is to travel in too, but at 1200rpm at 60 it's barely over tick over I guess
Cheers Glyn

Disappointed nobody is biting on that one!

The plan is to go for the proper 20" alloys fitted to the Exec for that year, albeit a 20" version of the ones fitted to the D4 S8 might be considered.

I looked at this and liked the look the wheels gave it in the flesh (these are 21's though and massively expensive for both wheels and decent tyres)

These are somewhat more reasonable albeit I need to research the offset and quality properly.

Hiya

I've attached the Etka info on wheels for your year of car at the larger size end - it at least gives you widths and offsets to consider when looking at genuine or aftermarket wheels

Lots of sets on German ebay which might be worth searching for using the part numbers

I'm currently on the look out for winters for our new car....

Hey Duffy,

Nice car! I have a 2010 4.2tdi SE with all of the exec toys except the rear view camera, but with active cruise, night vision, adaptive lights etc. It's an awesome car.

Are you really getting 45-50mpg? Only ask as I've had mine a year now and best ever was about 35mpg on a long motorway run (250 miles). Wondering what I'm doing wrong now....!

I was definitely expecting 50mpg (as advertised by Audi) but have only seen high 30's so far.

A genuine daily drive is low 30's.

Glad to hear it's not just me!

No car will get anywhere near the advertised MPGs, and it's not Audi's fault, the tests are set by the EU or some other useless quango and can only be replicated in laboratory conditions with no air con, no lights, no radio, no nothing, not even wind, just auto stop-start which is brilliant at improving the test scores but pretty useless in the real world.

All Audi and everyone else have done have made their cars as good as possible at the test, as that helps them achieve their overall emission targets and get more sales as their company car drivers have to pay less tax.

Real world, 30-40mpg from any large diesel is more likely, dependent on conditions and driving style.
