Default Windscreen washers warning light

It came on so I filled the reservoir with neat fluid.

The warning light still comes on every start and stays on.

I was too lazy to have a look with Vagcom last night, too cold and wet as well!

Any ideas?

You may have popped one of the hoses for the headlight washers. Mine did that last year and the fluid would run out until it got below that point which triggers the warning, but you still have some for the windscreen. Quite a good idea I thought.

Ah, good thinking, the headlamp washers ain't working either.....

That'll be a scutter to fix!

The reservoir should be almost full so I'll refill it and watch for leaks.

Thanks,

Filled it up this evening and it worked OK, washers too, both sides.

Maybe it's sorted itself but I doubt it. I'll look with the Computer at the weekend.

Takes about 10 minutes to drain if it's one of the pipes popped.

If you're lucky, you can get to it with the bottom plastic pan off, that was all mine needed.

Done nothing to fix this yet...

The car is still under a pile of snow and is not going anywhere this year by the look of things.
