Default Longest owned A8/S8

Noticed the last week or so we have had a few new members which is great new

Just wondering for those of us who have been on the forum for a while, what is the length of time that we have owned and still have our A8/S8's

For me, the D2 A8, I have had since May 2008
The D3 I have had for 14 months so don't count!

Next (i know this can easily be beaten )

Bought my D2 in July 2008 so about the same as you on that one Andy
I guess Amar's family must be one of the longest on BAJ1T which they still have now and owned from new

I've only been a forum member for just over a year but I've had my A8 for 8 years and four months to be precise, and can see that lasting a good while longer

got my first in 2006, but I'm on my third now. Might keep this one a while, unless a really nice D4 arrives.

I won't beat any record here but I'm here on forum for the past 18months but with couple of breaks, one long one

Love the A8s since I was 12 or 14, something like that, first one I saw was in a movie, black D2 s8 taking off from a gravel standstill

I owned mine for 3 years now
Purchase cost just under 10k
Last year running cost (ins, tax, service, maintenance, upgrades, petrol) 11.5k believe or not. £1.10 /mile and I just love the car

Love to be here, not a member on any other forum for at least 2 years, very nice bunch of guys, you can get a lot of help sometimes and thats what I like about the forum and what keeps me here.

Not even a ''mate'' with any of the guys from the A8 shop yet but I'm sure that will improve from my side over the years

Thanks guys
Marcin

I had my first (D2 PF) S8 from March 2002 to February 2013. The 2nd (D2 FL)I've had for a year now.
Both are in my signature pic, parked together about a year ago covered in snow.

2003 D2 FL S8. Irish Green Pearl/Beige. Solar sunroof, auto-dim mirrors, electric rear seat functions, ski hatch retrofit; extended leather. Aftermarket DVB-T, reversing camera and full XCarlink (Bluetooth etc.).
2016 Volvo V40 T5 Cross Country (4WD) with ALL the toys including adaptive cruise etc. etc. Osmium Grey with Blonde/Charcoal leather interior. Polestar performance "optimisation". (A much rarer model than a D2 S8 by the way!) Oh, and a brand new engine at just under 30,000 miles on the factory one!
Finally: gone, but not forgotten.....
1998 D2 PF S8. AgateGrey/Platinum. Every option (I think) except electric rear seats, tiptronic steering wheel, ski hatch, towbar & dimming door mirrors.
e.g. Cruise control, NavPlus/TV, Bose, GSM, Xenons, Solar roof, Parking sensors, Alcantara/leather everywhere of course. (internal dimming mirror added later)
1998 (very early) Ford Focus 1.8 Zetec; ABS/TCS, Heated screen/mirrors, Aircon, Auto-dim mirror, Leather, Trip computer, Cruise control, OEM Ford SatNav with CD changer.
And before that a lot of Rover 800s, a few oddities, a lovely Triumph Dolomite 1850HL with Overdrive and way back in my schooldays an Austin Seven aka Mini 850!

I'm in the same camp as Richard. Had the current S8 just over 2 years, but this is my third consecutive '8.
