I don't know about D3 but it should be possible to do it by random button pushing, i know it doesn't work on my 8 from 1996

D3 needs VCDS, takes all of 2 minutes, there's a button for it

we didnt check that, you can come back if you like , will have to look at a few threads to see what to look for, probably need the engine running to test it
