New Seats!
Okay, my S8 currently has an all cream interior but a guy who I knew crashed his PF S8 and he let me have the black recaro sport seats for free!
 They are pretty mint and I was wandering if they would fit in my FL S8? More importantly, would they suit? Black seats, with everything else being cream!? Wanted to swap um over before the meet so someone with VAG COM could reset the airbag warnings for me...

Re airbag lights, Just disconnect the battery first, then it can't register any faults. You should really disconnect it anyway for removing seats. The pre facelift black is a different colour to the facelift one. IMO, the black seats wont look *too* bad on a cream interior, but it needs black armrests. You'd have to go back to the feeble thin preface armrests as cream ones will look silly. The rear seats will sort of fit. You'll lose the pop up center headrest, and you'll have a slight gap in the bench where the prefacelift has a center lap belt recoil and the facelift didnt due to 3 point center belt. The facelift cars have a flap inside the center armrest, which you'll lose with the prefacelift seats. The pre facelift seats have ' airbag tags' on the side of the seats, where facelift have 'airbag' written on the side. Small things, but it would annoy me having 'old' kit in my facelift. If it were my car, I'd wait for a facelift set personally, depends how badly you want to try something different.

Okay, thats put me off now Ian! Didn't even think of the armrest problem! Guess they will lie gathering dust now as I just text the guy I got them from and he doesn't want 'um back!

I guess the other problem is that you have colour code WJ, which means you have the light brown/cream dashboard - I think you probably need a black dashboard to make black seats look right, which on facelift only came with black interiors and some of the grey ones.....
Black seats with nothing else black in the car might look a little odd, I'd forgotten you were a facelift cream car with lots and lots of cream  I personally prefer it all the other way round, black everything and light colour leatherwork, it looks kinda cool imo, albeit not very practical as light coloured leather is the hardest to keep looking young and clean.
