Default Quattro with Ultra Technology

Enter the 3rd 'technology' under the quattro branding, Quattro with Ultra Technology. A FWD biased system similar to Haldex but for longitudinal engine.

Whether this AWD system will find its way in to A8, I don't know. Maybe Torsen Quattro will be reserved for S and RS models?? Who knows!

Interesting read. Seems similar to the Ferrari all wheel drive system, the one used in the FF, I think it's called.

I must confess I don't know exactly how the D3's quattro AWD system works in any great detail...

Sounds fine for Skoda or VW 4motion, but Audi should stay with Torsen instead of some kind of 4WD 'lite' compromise.
