Carbon Trim
So, the wood finally got the better of me. I invested in some 3M Carbon Fibre film. This stuff is amazing. It's self adhesive and you apply it an mould it using a heat gun and I am really pleased with the result. The car feels 10 years younger!!
So, what it looked like:  And this is what it looks like now:

I managed the complete interior with a 60 x 120 roll (with very little left over). I bought it from ebay: Here I actually bought a second roll in case I ran out and I didn't use it
