I don't know if the heater was dropped from MY2005 because it's now integrated with the Radar??

Have you VCDS? Is the ACC heater disabled in module 13 - Distance Regulation adaptation channel 3?

My 2004 model with factory fitted ACC does not have an external heater.

Can you have ACC alongside Side Assist?

Would the 4E0 907 468 H CAN Gateway support both functions?

Is it possible to do a retrofit but with cluster/speedo without the red LEDīs? I do have the "widescreen" speedo but obviously without the LEDīs for the ACC.
I do have an ACC speedo, but it does not help, its for an A8 4.2 and I would like to retrofit it in an S8.

FYI: The 2008 A6 C6 does have an external heater element to heat the grill plate/cover of an ACC.

Not sure about retrofitting ACC without the correct cluster, but I have two clusters that may or may not be of use to you, depending on exactly what you want. Your signature says you have a 4.2 but you say you want to install it in a S8, so I'm a bit confused.

I have a standard widescreen S8 cluster that I removed from my S8 when doing the ACC retrofit.

I also have a widescreen ACC cluster that came out of a W12 D3 from A8parts, when I got all the other necessary parts, but hung on until I got the S8 ACC cluster.

I have photos of them somewhere with part numbers, so will post them up when I find them.

EDIT: Well that was easier that I thought. I actually advertised them for sale ages ago on the forum, with all the relevant information. They can be found at these links:
