I havent given this much thought, does DVLA need to know about a transmission conversion?

According to this page, it seems not, no mention of transmission on the list,

https://www.gov.uk/change-vehicle-de...need-to-update

But according to this page it is listed and uses up 2 points, but this is for new registrations only isnt it?

Mini update. I have almost finalised a design for the master cylinder mounting bracket. This is a simple wooden mock up just to make sure the cad drawings fit in reality. The design is to be bolted and welded, I wanted the extra security of bolts in the unlikely chance the weld cracks during operation.
Once I'm happy all this works I will post up a pdf of the cad design so anyone can machine it if they want to.

Any criticism/advice/suggestions welcome.

I'm not 100% sure but it'll have to be updated for insurance atleast won't it?

yes I will definitely tell the insurers, I was just thinking wouldnt it be odd if it said manual on the insurance and auto on the V5 form. Maybe I should tell DVLA anyway and perhaps they can just type in 'manual'. I guess I'll find out soon (I hope).

Dimensioning a drawing for machining turns out to be more difficult than drawing it in the first place!

Just a teaser to show I havent been idle, full drawings with dimensions coming soon.

Thanks Neil. I wish I took some pictures with the mock-up fitted.

The custom brake pedal springs arrived, and they are almost completely wrong.
I dont know why those numpties couldnt understand "mirror image"?
I even taped the original spring to a piece of card and wrote on it "MIRROR" to represent the mirror plane.
Anyway they think they did their job and are unwilling to do it again correctly, and I'm unwilling to pay them again.

old spring on the left, new spring on the right.
