Adjusting front bumper height
Now I have fixed my drivers side headlight brackets, and having put everything back together properly the headlight is sitting slightly higher than before. I therefore have a gap along the bottom of the headlamp. I know on some cars you can adjust the bumper fit by undoing and redoing screws/bolts etc. Can this be done on the FL 8, its only a small gap but its annoying compared to the fit on the other side.

There's a little bit of adjustment if you loosen the bolts holding the centre of the front bumper on its rails and loosen the side brackets at each end by the wheel arches but it's a bit of a pig and you need at least 2 people to get it how you want it.

I think there is adjustment in the bumper itself it you completely remove it.
But I've adjusted mine the other way. Bumper is attached to two "shock absorbers". Those shock absorbers are attached to "main beams" (don't know the right term) with 3 bolts each. We can reach to those bolts without removing the bumper and headlights. We only move bumper forwards a bit, so it still hangs on its "rails" and operate through the opening. We losen those bolts through the opening and move shock absorbers to upper or lower position. We then tighten those bolts. We don't need to remove bumper to accomplish this. Hope it helps.

in the end I did not need to adjust the bumper.
I discovered that the headlight alignment on the side with the gap was way out after parking close to a wall. What I have done is loosen the headlight screws and reposition it so that its now pointing more downwards and this has removed the gap from under the lights.
