Hi Colin. I can collect and store for you if any use. PM me if that helps.

just a public note of thanks to Rob [ Professor Peach ] for enabling my purchase by picking up this item and storing it for me !
now all I have to do is get it from Northampton to somewhere near the western section of the M25 !
following section to my current location of Southampton already fixed [ A6 Avant ] and the 1,000Km to southern France after that is easy ...bike carrier on the back of my motorhome !!

the pleasures of A8 ownership !

Well, Rob and I do occasionally see each other at various meets, so there's a potential transfer mechanism there to the M25/M40 area.

When's the next Buddies Breakfast Rob?

2016 Volvo V40 T5 Cross Country (4WD) with ALL the toys including adaptive cruise etc. etc. Osmium Grey with Blonde/Charcoal leather interior. Polestar performance "optimisation". (A much rarer model than a D2 S8 by the way!) Oh, and a brand new engine at just under 30,000 miles on the factory one!
Finally: gone, but not forgotten.....
1998 D2 PF S8. AgateGrey/Platinum. Every option (I think) except electric rear seats, tiptronic steering wheel, ski hatch, towbar & dimming door mirrors.
e.g. Cruise control, NavPlus/TV, Bose, GSM, Xenons, Solar roof, Parking sensors, Alcantara/leather everywhere of course. (internal dimming mirror added later)
1998 (very early) Ford Focus 1.8 Zetec; ABS/TCS, Heated screen/mirrors, Aircon, Auto-dim mirror, Leather, Trip computer, Cruise control, OEM Ford SatNav with CD changer.
And before that a lot of Rover 800s, a few oddities, a lovely Triumph Dolomite 1850HL with Overdrive and way back in my schooldays an Austin Seven aka Mini 850!

A pleasure Colin. Happy to help out. I know the place in question.only 10 minutes from me.
Now, will it go in the boot of my D2, or do I need to steel the wife's Jeep?

Andrew - I've heard nothing about a buddies gathering, but they're never too far apart. We'll sort something I'm sure.

greatly appreciated Rob ; I must admit I presumed that an 8 is about the only car with a suitable boot for this job!

but isn't there an easy way to find out ?..just whip the back bumper off your S8 and try it ?

maybe not !

Andrew .....as you will remember my daughter knows her way to chez vous ....although she would have to come in her own car for this bumper ; no hurry as it is going to take some time to set up our new abode in the uk !
