S8 battery died

Got to work early today as I'm having some plastering done, thought I'd watch a bit of tv before starting work, watched for around 40 mi utes with the engine off. Went to start the engine and the car is dead, tries to start but it sounds like there isn't enough left in the battery to do this, I'm sure someome at work will have some jump leads as mine are at home in the shed!
Is it ok to use jump leads on the d3 s8? If so do I use the battery terminals in the boot, or is there some in the engine bay that I can use? Cheers
