You are supposed to disconnect battery before touching anything airbag related and leave it for 10-15 min to let the capacitors drain out. This will prevent any mishaps and also there will be no fault code giving airbag light.

Hi all I have changed the immobiliser box under the dash and now it's coming up with ecu fault so apart from changing the ecu I don't have anymore ideas.A new ecu is going to be over a £1000 from audis.
Anymore ideas that could help I would be very greatful.

1996 4.2 A8SQ - Ming Blue. 178k on a cambelt! Trader's 8. Delivered to A8Parts at Lifex.
2003 2.8 A8SQ - powder blueish. Fill in for a while. Sold on.
1998 1.8T A4 Avant FWD. Ming Blue (there's a theme here), PEX for the 97 S8.
And a list of non VAG going back 40 years before I saw the light.

You know immo box need to be coded to ecu and keys, have you done it?

What are the faults showing now? You should be able to get second hand ECU from A8parts:

I don't know 100% as yet as if only had a phone call about it I haven't been to see the car but as soon as I find out I will up date you all.
