Default fault codes

hey all i am having a few problems with my a8 lately,

it some times cuts out and today i had a new problem where the engine is reving up and down from about 800rpm to about 1200.

i cleared my fault codes a few days ago and have done another scan today and this is what iv got,

any help will be appreciated as im new to world of vag.

im not to worried about the top 2 at the minute unless they could cause my problem, but i think this is unlikely

its bottom code (intake manifold runner control, lower stop not reached) that i believe is the problem.

your right the top 2 are no problem, it must be the 3rd

Any one have an idea what i can do to fix it, i dont even know if it is a part i can replace,

Iv not gt a clue about audis

I think on that last code which relates to the intake manifold - sounds like its the actuator that is giving problems due to wear on the flap valve (this is made from plastic and needs to be replaced as a unit otherwise you're going to have isssues with recalibrating the servo motor on the flap unit. Talk to A8 parts and see if they have one I guess.

Thanks again architex, iv seen some on ebay that claim to be rebuild using stringer parts around 350 for a pair of manifolds.

I think im just going to change both of them, i dont want this problem in the future with the other manifold.

Iv been looking about and i have found that audi do a repair kit for less than 20 pound a side. Although it doesnt replace the bearings it does repkace the linkage.

Im going to try this first, so i will report back once iv fitted them.
