Default Spotlights in rear view mirror.

Last night I switched the passenger side spotlight on and then it wouldn't turn off (only turned off when I turned the engine off, so now it doesn't come on!). The driver's side light still works and when the button is pressed I hear a clear 'click' but the passenger side spotlight button now has a sort of muted click and the light doesn't come on. So I don't think its the bulb, somewhere in the button.

Any ideas?...

Sounds like the switch might be sticking - you could try lots of on off activity to see if it gets it going again?

The removal of the trim to get to it is shown HERE so you could take it apart and have a look?

Removal of the bulb in the mirror is shown HERE - youre probably right the other one may have just blown

My passenger side started doing this a month ago too. Not sure if it's the cold weather, but if I press it on or off, it sticks in and then 5 seconds later it clicks as it pops back. Still works though.
As with the instructions, inserting something between the rectangular lens and front edge should disengage the clip, you shouldn't have to pry it much if at all if you use a suitable wide tool or plastic card. then you can see the screws. The panel should then pull down with fingernails starting at the front as it is only held in with spring clips at the sides and barbed pegs at the back.
I haven't got round to checking the back of the switch yet though.

I also slipped some of these into the mirrors which are much brighter...
