Front Cylindrical Silencers/resonators vs Center box vs S8 Center Cylindrical Things
So I've installed my one-piece exhaust from the S8 on my new Sage A8. Very little difference. Now I want to remove either the center (S8) resonators or the smaller front ones which came on the A8. They all seem very solid, and I wondered if anyone has removed either/or and what was the result? I'm planning to hook the flaps to a remote switch, but for now they're wired open. In this short video, you can see the front "cylinders" I talked about. I drove the car like that for about a week and it was painful at certain RPMs, and people would not drive beside me in traffic. So I may have answered my own question; the front ones don't do much!
Thanks Tom A8L and S8 are exactly the same length! Joy! But the S8 has those cylindrical things, too!
