This is the player only, you'll have to buy the DMS and USB cradle as well. They sometimes come up on Ebay second hand and are probably worth it at the right price. You'll still have to change the hard drive if you want some decent storage space (another £30-£40)

Before you start rushing in buying a Phatbox, have a look at Psyche's RNS D possible replacement thread.

Another option is something like this: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Car-MP3-Pl...ht_6248wt_1163. Fitted one in friends 2003 A4 about 3 years ago, still working fine.

Not sure if that is RNS D compatible.

From the website

Audi: Chorus 2, Concert 1, Concert 2, Symphony 1, Symphony 2,
(2) Not compatible with Navigation system

Even though it says Audi A/S8 1998-2002

I cant see how it cant be RNS-D compatible.... The CD changers for all the Audi range are identical, with the same connector on the back....

that would be a much better option i would like the Sd card reader and although my DVB-T tuner through the av input dose have sd card reader built in, the problem with that is that the sound quality through av is not as good and there are no options to change the sound settings in av mode ?

Sorry, just a Phatbox virgin right now, what does "hacked" involve?

cheers
