Ah but we could see a sub 1 pound a litre soon. Oil prices lowest since 2009. So running oil fired central heating and the S8, I am very happy about that.. And set to stay low through 2016 ( baring a war or natural disaster ).
As for B&O. Has anyone compared the D3 system to the D4's? I think 40% more powerful system on the D4 but I have not heard it to compare how it sounds.. I did not look for ceramic breaks when I bought mine but I have found them easy to live with. Low wear on the pads and plenty of stopping power. My Only gripe would be squeal in reverse when they are cold in the winter. That's easily solved by not reversing! Pads are just easy to change too.

Anyone else noticed how many Mercs have crooked plates, and fitted with rusting screws too Sometimes when I'm parked, reversed against a wall or similar, I'll open all the windows and then fire her up. Best with a stone cold engine

I've seen many A8s converted to look like the S8 but I have to say one real annoying thing for me is to see the S8 badge sat next to a 3.0TDI badge .. "come on finish the job and remove either the S8 or the TDI badge"
