Yes it should, and if you have the climate control on Auto with econ disabled on the MMI the cooling fan should kick in as soon as you start the engine (assuming ambient temp is over 4c).

My fan does not kick in as soon as the gauge hits 90, it needs a few minutes after that before it starts (in my case at least).

Unhappy

Thanks mannyo

Having a few problems after replacing my rad as the old had a leak new one on now but today the low coolant warning came out
I topped up the coolant thinking that all would be well , restarted the car.But the warning light remained on along with the fan running constantly and the temp nneedle not moving at all

Big pain, would anyone know what to look for or best place to start. It's back at the
Indy but would be nice to know what to expect it's been one thing after a the next over the past few weeks

Thanks.

Update

On my drive to work I had to stop of at the shops. When I came back to the car and restarted it all was ok temp Needle was normal, Coolant warning was gone and the fan stopped run super fast.

its with the indys now so will see what they say....i'm thinking Coolant Temp Sensor..will soon see.
