This is a better option but I'm not sure where the best location to mount it. Anyone have a suggestion where to mount this cup holder?

Mods prior to my ownership: 01E 6 speed, carbon fiber trim, bi-xenon, aftermarket muffler with x-pipe, tinted windows, non-tip steering wheel, Spal electric fan.

My mods: Oxblood red interior, LED interior lights, D3 ignition coils, new window tint, tip steering wheel with new S8 emblem, mk1 TT steering wheel air bag, mk1 TT 6 speed shift knob, new shift boot.

I wouldn't put this anywhere near my car, It would never look oem.

Do you have cup holding needs which are not met by the one in the centre console?

I have to agree with Paul that the A6 one is not the most stable solution and does tend to wobble about rather alarmingly with a heavy beverage in it. The stock D2 one is much more solid, plus it as a lower centre of gravity

I agree, I'm doing it more for to get rid of the blanks than anything else.. I was thinking of the rear blind and rear door blinds but its useless with limo tint I'm planning on

I agree with you about wanting to keep the OEM look but the one in the dash is a terrible idea!

Have you seen how crazy Americans must have huge drinks!?!

The stock D2 cup holder can only hold a can of soda. I usually buy 20 oz bottle of soda or bottle of water and those don't fit in the cup holder
