Default D3 4.2 FSi fuel pump control module

Afternoon all,

My A8 suffered with an intermittent fuel supply a couple of weeks ago. I took it to the local audi specialist who quickly diagnosed it as a fuel pump control module fault and duly ordered one. 10 working days later one arrives from Germany and upon trying to fit it they simply can't find where the hell the thing goes!

They've looked in both of the access compartments where each fuel pump lies and can't see it there.

I've read somewhere that on earlier models it was located in the passenger side of the plenum chamber which again they checked but to no avail.

Does anyone happen to know where the helen daniels this thing lives?!!!

Any help would be gratefully received.

As an aside my car is also suffering water ingress in the passenger side footwell, I've cleared out the sunroof drainage holes but haven't been into the plenum chamber. The garage are going to clean that out so hopefully that'll sort that out but I was wondering whether the two were related?
