D2:Window controls, central locking button, boot open button, etc FROM PASSENGER SIDE
It's a little project I plan to accomplish before annual meet.
Couple of WIP pictures: Of course, driver can switch off everything with his blocking switch. The idea is simple: take all genuine panels/parts from LHD car. Passenger door card has specially marked plastic area that can be removed to create bigger hole for bigger handle with central lock button. This was done to avoid creating too many part combinations (door cards are the same part number for LHD and RHD cars -- Audi only removed that plastic part from proper side in a factory).

Interesting and very original idea, will be a pain to wire though. Window switches & central locking can all be done in parallel easy enough, but mirror switch and rear isolation switch will need some thinking about.....

I've got door wiring loom from broken car (the one that Ranj broke) and I already modified the loom properly
 Central locking was uneasy too This is because central locking module is controlled by **one wire** (ground=lock, +12V=unlock). If we make it in parallel there is a danger of short circuit in unlikely event when driver and passenger press two different buttons at the same time, i.e. driver press unlock and passender mistakenly press lock **at the same time**. But it is all resolved now.P.S. I'm undecided about mirror switch though. Don't want to allow wife to play with mirrors. I think I'll connect only dimmer LEDs, but leave the loom from mirror switch disconnected somewhere in the car -- 'for future extensions'

Mind blowing.....
This is mind blowing stuff....using the mirror control buttons as a dimmer switch for interior lights sounds like a cool idea

Sorry Ranj, I didn't mean that. I just wanted to 'park' the mirror switch project and only connect it to car dimmer wires so that the LEDs will glow red colour in dark, but the actual control harness won't be connected as I don't see value in letting passenger to control mirrors.
In terms of crazy mind blowing ideas it is possible to use those 'unused' mirror buttons as protection from people who steal cars. For instance, car will only start if mirror switch on passenger side is in pre-defined position. Or after pressing a weird combination on that circle mirror control switch Good for leaving car overnight in dodgy places.

Just trying to understand situation.
The car was without the switch from factory. It never had central locking switch from day one. Excuse my ignorance, but I never had PF so I don't know. We now have door card in this car with the switch we want to wire. Is my understanding correct?

In this case I'm afraid there can be no place to wire the switch to. So new central locking ECU should be retrofitted and I don't know if it is possible.
Here is how the button works in my car: There is a wire going directly to central locking ECU and the switch connects ground to that wire if we want to unlock the car or it connects +12v to the same wire if we want to lock the car. Do we have an empty pin in your central locking ECU where we can connect a wire and a switch? I don't know.

thanks. the diagram helped me understand a bit more. i will have to check the ECU for a spare contact. where would it be located?
i have tried to wire the switch into the same wires that the lock would use to lock and unlock the car when you open and close the car using the key and it works fine until you plug the wires back into the lock then the switch no longer works.
