Default new steering wheel

i am looking to change my steering wheel from the old audi 500 looking one to a MFSW. i cam across one at a good price but its from a 2004 a4. does any one know if that model has dual stage airbags?
,because i understand it wont work on my 95 A8.
the steering wheel i am looking at is the same as the one in the picture below

Do some more googling, I stumbled across a thread that dual stage bags can be rewired for use on single stage cars.

Can't remember where it was though coz I was looking at hundreds of sites as I want to change my wheel also.

Goodluck

That will be a single stage airbag by the looks of it - but - if you have a 1995 car, you will have a smaller spline than > 1997 cars so it probably wont fit without some adaption of the steering column iirc.....

I wouldnt expect the MFSW to do much in a 1995 car without a heck of a lot of work.....

so what options would i have if i wanted to upgrade my steering wheel from this?

these are the 3 i was interested in but now i am clueless to weather they will fit or not. how much work will be involved to get the Multifunction stuff working? i understand it will need a new slip ring and a controller for the controls to work.
1st prize will be MFSW one but other 2 will still be great.

You want this steering wheel, better than the later sport PF one, same as the one you get in the RS 2 too, which makes it even cooler.

You're right, your current one does suck.

You can get early sport 3 spoke steering wheels, but not with tiptronic.

I'm pretty sure a8parts do spline adapters to allow the fitment of newer wheels, to older cars, which means you could fit anything you like to your car - give them a shout

cool will give them a shout thanks.
was looking at other posts and came across one that said need to change the whole column. prices are not too bad for the column but after new wheel, column and other bits it will add up and that's not even the work that needs to be done to change it, so if they have a adapter it will help alot.
