Wow, a new Mk2 Phaeton and a Q8 and an A9 that will platform share.

New engines ...

Audi A8 4.0-litre V8 TFSI 460bhp
Audi A8 6.3-litre W12 565bhp.

Diesels in the new 2016 Audi A8 are:

Audi A8 3.0-litre V6 TDI 272bhp -> I'm not sure that the existing 3.0 TDI isn't generating this output anyway ... It does 0 to 60 in 6.1 seconds with supposedly 249bhp
Audi A8 4.0-litre V8 TDI 408bhp
Audi A8 5.0-litre V10 TDI 500bhp --> wow ... probably 700lb of torque with that one ... like a Diesel S8 ...

Also big lols for this one 326bhp 3.0-litre TFSI V6 to power the hybrid.


Suggestions that that interior will be based on this. Just the first picture, the rest are a test mule with a D4 body slapped on top.

Interesting putting the starter button on the steering wheel, could be a better idea. Also no pop up MMI screen, I suspect that will be carried over. Nothing like being stuck in traffic and watching a movie, does pass the time nicely.

Interesting….and perhaps the most interesting bit of the article is the hint that an A9 coupe might be back on. Now that would be worth seeing...
