where to find part number. need a grommet
noticed a seal/grommet has perished when i lifted the boot. on the drivers side, a cable goes through it ..
there is no part number on it.. is there way i can find impart no.and order one via dealer etc? cheers raj |

I think it's moulded onto the tube at time of manufacture.
One of mine (the boot lid one) has failed similarly. I cut it off and used a standard blanking cap holed and slit open to fit round the tube then applied liberal quantities of black mastic. It's reasonably OK, though the boot lid one does flex more, that one you show doesn't really get any movement so just sealing it with mastic would probably work OK.

(internal dimming mirror added later) 1998 (very early) Ford Focus 1.8 Zetec; ABS/TCS, Heated screen/mirrors, Aircon, Auto-dim mirror, Leather, Trip computer, Cruise control, OEM Ford SatNav with CD changer. And before that a lot of Rover 800s, a few oddities, a lovely Triumph Dolomite 1850HL with Overdrive and way back in my schooldays an Austin Seven aka Mini 850! |

yep, you are right re. it is placed on during installation .(i did not think of that) as you have suggested will substitute with a blanking cap+mastic. cheers raj |
