Default RNS d tv function lost.

Need some help please.
RNS d had been working great. But today when I pressed the radio/cd/tv button to select the tv function. The unit only switched between radio and cd. As if the tv function was not even there.
Will disconnecting it reset the unit? I have the 4 digit code.
Any ideas please.Cheers raj

I think detection of the TV unit is automatic; if it's not there the option doesn't appear. I'd check wiring and power to the tuner first.

And if in doubt a full power cycle may reset it.

There is no option in the RNS-D configuration for TV and when I added that input to mine it just appeared in the cycle.

Thanks for the reply.
Full power reset meaning ...unplug the unit per supply and reconnect?
Thanks raj

Find the relevant fuse and pull it for a short time then re-enter the code; I've had to do that a couple of times in the past to reset my RNS.

Not 100% sure where the fuse is, on PF it was in the boot above the battery.
Just likely to be easier than taking the RNS out of the dash.

i have the keys and was earlier to remove the unit and left it unplugged for 30 minutes and reconnected . i tried this 3 times.
it made no difference.
the radio stations were still remembered when reconnected.
i thought it would reset the whole system to factory setting. but apparently not.
so is there a way to reset to factory settings?
many thanks
raj

thanks for the reply.
still no joy.
tried searching the net, for hard reset and found that there is a way to ‘hack’ into the unit.
but feel a bit uneasy is the post warned that it could go wrong.
i wonder why its so hard/impossible to do a hard reset..

Have you checked the fuse for the TV Tuner?
