S8 Brembos binding...?

After new OE discs and pads last week, it appears that the offside inner pad is dragging or binding on the disc. Massively overheating, warping and vibrating at motorway speeds, then cooling at lower speeds. Disc remains slightly warped, and inside half of disc is white and flakey.

Anyone have this before? Car's back with Audi to fix today, but wondered if anyone had encountered this. Assuming this is just down to poor fitting.

sounds like the metal plates on the calipers have lifted due to corrosion.

fix is to remove the calipers and undo the screws that secure the metal plates. careful with the screws as they're fragile - make sure you clean the heads before attempting to undo. use a file to remove all the corrosion which has built up behind the plates.

The plates will need to be bent back to straight again before being refitted
