thanks guys....
It hasnt been easy....however i was contacted by another member today who informed me that there may be able communicate signals between the rns e and dis of the pf instrument cluster.... if this is the case then this mod is a definite... The carbon effect is wrap....wasnt too difficult to apply and i thought it would go better with the rns e

When I compared the rns e to the rns c...it turned out the units were the same shape...just the faceplate of the rns e was different.
So all i did was cut the faceplate down to the rns c shape behind it. Ideally I would have liked to taken the faceplate off...however I was unsure of how to disconnect the ribbon cable from the screen and didnt really want to rip it...so just went gung ho insitu...which was probably a better strategy as I could use the rns c shape behind the faceplate as a guide. So my strategy was hacksaw the sides down and then use a electric sander to get the sides flush. I could have been neater with the finish, however I dont really have the patience or a good hand for these sort of things....but i was fairly happy with the result.

This looks bloody amazing, as if it were factory fitted. Wasn't sure about the carbon fibre in the pictures but in the flesh it is awesome. Really good job, Ranj, check out the meets section and take the car over on the 30th, it deserves to be shown off.
