Hi Oli, I've actually lost the TV function but seeing as analogue TV is going to be cut of soon I didn't mind. To have a digital TV tuner working with the RNS E is 3/400 I understand. I can't justify that as I could just use the TV catchup app on the I Phone.
I need to buy a AV connector to plug into the back of the RNS E.. This will then let me watch I Phone videos, TV Catchup and play music from it for £80. However to get full control of the I Pod from the headunit is £200 so I'm in no hurry to do that, yet. The Rearview cam will also have to connect in the same way or through the Tuner IIRC but not doing that just yet either. Next RNS E upgrade will be the bluetooth module. Even though I've lost a few things, I didn't use them much anyway. The E is soo much better then the D. The whole interface and navigation, tmc is very modern. The SD cards are also particularly useful, just plug it into your computer and drag and drop music files, you can also arrange it into Artist > Album> etc... so its all neat. I really recommend it.

A note that the standalone GPS antennas will work through the dashboard. Just get it as high up as you can I use one that a retrofitted my COMAND NTG2.5 into my Eclass and it's better than standard one.

I have mine on top of the steering column right now as its only a temporary measure until a fully working adaptor arrives. Picks up 7/8 satellites so I'm happy with that.
Anyway... I have just done 8 hours driving in the S8 with the RNS E and I really don't like the navigation aspect of the RNS E. On the D the instructions come up the DIS. I loved this feature so much but was willing to sacrifice it, however on the RNS E you have to keep looking down. The 335 with I drive I had didn't have instructions between the speedo but the sat nav was much higher up (at eye level) above the vents which made it easy to glance at, I nearly ran a red light today in the S8 because of the positioning of the E. Maybe I will get used to it, I still wouldn't go back to the D.
