Slightly oddball question, but does the RS6 fuel flap list 98/95 or 95/91 for fuel grade for a standard car? I'm thinking it might be a late 98/95 so still benefits from the higher octane..... I know on the supercharged S models it's 95/91 and there's no real performance difference if you run 98 as it's not mapped for it. All bets are off on a remapped car obviously, which will require 98 I'm sure. I may have set up a couple of auto searches for Avants, just to see what's out there  Adrian

Thanks Ian, that's useful to know from a running cost perspective on a stock car - although the differential in cost would be insignificant in the grand scheme of things!
Unfortunately an estate is pretty much a requirement for me - we're managing with a hatch and saloon at the moment, but we've previously been a 2 estate car family (even before child!) My hobby takes me round the South of the country racing toy cars. It involves carting a LOT of stuff with me. At the moment I have to put a large bag upright on the back seat in the S8 (suitably protected!) as it can't be laid on its side and there's just no other way to get it in the car. The boot on the S8 is usually filled to capacity as well. My likely requirements are probably enough of an issue to limit my options, when I actually get round to serious looking. Must have ACC, 3G Mustn't have a light colour interior Nice to have: TV, reversing camera, advanced key, blinds or hearse tints, power doors, twin pane glass Not fussed either way: ceramic brakes, remap Have you ever seen one for sale with the optional manual buckets?! £2k to take away seat memory.....

High milers are worth temptingly little, but could be out of warranty potential money pits...
