Delboy was kind enough to send me this video of a working AC.

Unless I'm missing something or something to look at, be it a faulty cable, relay or sensor. It pretty much looks like its a new compressor.

During a full scan trying to track down another fault, my HVAC came back with the sensor fault.

Address 08: Auto HVAC Labels: None

Component: KLIMAAUTOMAT 016 0400

Coding: 0084051
Shop #: WSC 02311 785 00200
VCID: 1C3058C8DF6206CB39D-8048

2 Faults Found:
00819 - High Pressure Sensor (G65)
002 - Lower Limit Exceeded
Freeze Frame:
Fault Status: 01100010
Fault Priority: 3
Fault Frequency: 1
Reset counter: 76
Mileage: 283835 km

That sensor is about 18/24 months old.
When I first got the car gased ECON mode was off and no fault codes. It also came back as holding pressure.

No I have a leak, wiring fault or a dodgy sensor.

ECON mode was switched on yesterday and would not switch off.
I pushed the valve in to see if there was any gas and there was not.

On top of possibly faulty pump, I also got a leak somewhere.

Knowing my luck it will be in the heater matrix.

I'll get it back to AC guys and track down the leak.

Yes Scott , looking at your videos it does look like you have a duff pump .... Like airnassems says theres two types , your is vdp ( variable displacement pump )

They do fail , lots of modern stuff use this type of pump now , and yes it does look like you have a gas leak aswell .

Have a good look around the condenser ( radiator at front of car ) look for damp patches on it , this is the oil residue collecting in that area as the gas escapes .
If you get part numbers off the pump they are often same pumps on other models , just looked on eBay .... there is a few pumps on there for sale ... some used some new ones .

Thanks Lee.

Been back to the AC guys today and got it on the ramp.
Apart two oil leaks we couldn't find an AC leak.
Couldn't find any numbers on the pump.

Looks like I'm going to for a condenser and a pump.
Hopefully that is it.
