Five seconds of fame...
I've just watched it, as I'd put it on to record while I was out.
One surprise for me was that Phil, who they visited from the quattro owners club (with the two ur quattros), is the guy who runs the German classics show every year in Wigan. A thoroughly nice chap, and nice to see him on the telly |

…and typically of Phil, given the reason for the quattro refurb, he gave them a replacement quattro engine for free. Definitely one of the good guys.

The owner of the ur is on classic audi, he told us about it about six months ago, the lucky bugger.
You definitely need to strip back and start again with most of these cars as they're really starting to get long in the tooth now but are still pokey for their age so things tend to go wrong often and with virtually no parts availability you need to be much more proactive than reactive with maintenance and parts replacement. Six years of UR ownership and it was parts sourcing and cost more than anything that caused me to sell. |

…and maybe I won't start looking for one then…I was really starting to lust after one whilst watching this last night. Lovely car. |
