Default My new wifi speaker thing

Really doesn't look like much, but wow. Got this from Richer Sounds L'pool after having a play with it in their demo room.

It's the Naim Mu-So. It's epic. Listening to tracks I thought I knew well is like hearing them for the first time or with new ears!

It is 450W, has 6 amplifiers a bass flute and a DSP chip controlling it all.

Nice toy. I like toys. A few quids worth there, but quality costs I guess.

I do not want to call Scouseland or it's occupants but I am very careful where I deposit my pennies.

That is lovely a work of art, well done you and i want one, green with envy smilie.

If you don't already have it, go find Thea Gilmore, Lipstick conspiracies. It is one of the best produced clear and quality CD's i've heard. It's has the Naim on it (see what i did there) and used to be used for demo's it will make that boom box work it's socks of and the 2 should be a perfect match. What CD player are you using with it? And i'm assuming that the 6 amps are 1 for each speaker?

I have an old pair of Tannoy 637's Bi-wired to a Yamaha AMP, they're old now but they can still hold their own.

Thanks for that. I have my old Mac HD with some FLAC albums hooked up to it. I'm mainly using Tidal as it came with a 3 month subscription. They have a fair bit of good quality songs that stream and the FLAC do sound quite good.

It has an amp per speaker yes. I'll try and get hold of that song as a FLAC now. I wouldn't even know where to look in the loft for my old Cd separate to plug in to it.... I justified the cost as the amp I was using previously with some Mordant Short speakers was 15- 20 years old. So if this lasts as long I'll be happy.

I really rate Yamaha stereo equipment. I've got an iPhone dock of theirs and it is much better than it has any business being. I haven't experience of Tannoy, but they've been around for ever so I'm sure they're excellent.

Just go buy yourself a Naim CD555 have done with it

I'm sure your new purchase will be good for a few years yet

i replaced my old Yamaha AMP that i've had for 15 years and was second hand when i bought it, with a 677, this has opened up a whole new world of wireless capabilities for me.

I have tried to refrain from commenting on this given the context is that of a car forum, but, I cannot.

Why people feel the need to perpeptuate an outdated, inaccurate and ignorant viewpoint of Liverpool, I do not know. Even in a somewhat passive aggressive manner...

The neoliberal divisive policy of the Thatcher government, with the help of the Police and the shameful red top 'press', Kelvin MacKenzie et al soiled the reputation of Liverpool, but surely people can, with the benefit of hindsight and a brain of their own see that now and look past it? Some clearly struggle.

Rant over.
