I wore one of them when i got married, a skirt that is not a David. But i never got into a car with it on, i suppose it would be gentlemanly to keep knees together, feet together when entering / exiting a car so you don't show your balls?

Common myth/error! Correct etiquette (invented by the Victorians, who also invented the tartan/clan relationship) is that underwear should be worn if the occasion involves either dancing or the presence of ladies

In the day if the Sergeant Major spotted knickers under your skirt you were in for a week of extra guard duties
Even had one Coldstreamer who carried a stick with a mirror on the end, said it was better than his shiny toe caps

Just to clarify, it's not a skirt! It's a single piece of material wrapped around, so much more like a sarong!

But you guys and the cars look might splendid!

Fab pictures and congrats to you all. Tis a bitter/sweet thing giving away ones daughter.

The big problem is that they come back, the kids I mean.
We thought that we had got rid of ours but they both came home again.
But we managed to get rid of the girl to another lad, poor sod, but he has turned out pretty good.
Then we married the lad off to a young lady who did not realise the way of the world. That failed somewhat 'cos they both stayed in our house. Now we have the two of them plus their four kids. Some of you met the 8 year old at this years meet but there is now an addition at four weeks old.

Nah; my Son is part of the "renovation / wedding set up team" when he comes home!

Few Sons hear Dad cheering in the background when he announces his temp contact in the film business (yeah, tough thing to fall in love with ) is ending and "do we must mind if he stays with us for a while"!

No Way Son; come home to Daddy!!

PS Very happily married 21 July 2017
