Mine arrived today, they look great. Will get fitted soon, though I've got my previous repairs around both holes to de-gunk carefully first.

The post round here is very random at present, I think only 2 or 3 days a week, and they seem to alternate letters and packets.
Couriers like DPD etc. are up and down the road several times a day though......

Yeah it seems a bit random all over the place. The first batch of orders were all posted together. Some of them made it next day, and some of them still haven't arrived.

I was somewhat surprised when mine turned up today, as I usually expect them to take at least a week. Like you, I have to remove the sealant I used as a stop gap fix.

They're not a left/right pair, they're a body/boot lid pair - both ends of the cable on the battery side.....
(And incidentally different sizes - RTFM!)
Yes, the body (rear wing) grommet tends to fail first and cause more trouble, but both mine are long gone.....

Yes if you like, but as Andrew noted these are just for the right hand side. Usually both those grommets disintegrate as they are made of the same defective material, whereas the ones on the left are proper vulcanised rubber and don't tend to suffer.

Tbh even if one of the two is still intact, it probably won't be for long so I'd recommend to buy a pair anyway, but PM if you do want just a single one and we can sort something out

Mine arrived Saturday...thank you! Post still very erratic.

Might just be me, but can't get the link to the fitting instruction to work?

Was going to ask about the left side grommets. Is there any logic to them being different material?

https://d2doctor.co.uk/grommet.pdf

I'm fairly sure the left hand side grommets came from existing production for something else as they are used on many other models. They were already available in proper vulcanised rubber so didn't need to be hand-cranked like the right hand side.

That said, they appeared to have used this same rubbish cast material on the B3, B4, C4 and B5 at least, based on requests I've had for other models, so we can't even put it down to the limited production of the D2.

Got it now MJ...thank you!

If all of those models have a similar issue that's quite a market out there.
