The pump is behind the side panel that is behind the CD changer. You'll see it if you ever need to get at the aerial

Given the location, and the plumbing diagram, this suggests that 2 separate pipes (boot lock and fuel flap) will be traversing the boot space somewhere, ending up in the same area around the fuses. Odd really, presumably they're behind the trim on the boot sill.
(rather different to my earlier assumption  )

Every option (I think) except electric rear seats, tiptronic steering wheel, ski hatch, towbar & dimming door mirrors. e.g. Cruise control, NavPlus/TV, Bose, GSM, Xenons, Solar roof, Parking sensors, Alcantara/leather everywhere of course.  (internal dimming mirror added later)1998 (very early) Ford Focus 1.8 Zetec; ABS/TCS, Heated screen/mirrors, Aircon, Auto-dim mirror, Leather, Trip computer, Cruise control, OEM Ford SatNav with CD changer. And before that a lot of Rover 800s, a few oddities, a lovely Triumph Dolomite 1850HL with Overdrive and way back in my schooldays an Austin Seven aka Mini 850!

They do mostly, indeed go forwards but the boot lock pipe goes forwards and through the grommets by the nearside hinge and into the boot

So that diagram is probably for a LHD model - fuel filler still on the right?
It will presumably still need 2 pipes into the offside rear area. I disabled the secure unlocking on mine as it's rarely driven alone and is a PITA otherwise. (Though it's enabled on the Focus - different pattern of use) Edit: beaten to it by others.
