Usually, but not always....

The factory towbar does require a small cut out in the lower valance of the bumper as per the Westfalia/Audi installation instructions. It only needs to be about 5cm long and 1cm deep.

The rear undertray also has to be cut down in size to allow access to the ball connection.

tks all for clearing that up!


as the bumper has to be 'modified ' anyway , am going to see if I can design a repair with a cut out which looks tidy ...making a virtue out of necessity so to speak
