Default What exactly is this box?

This is situated behind the left hand panel in the boot. Is it the DAB radio? Can this box be changed for one with a DVB-T TV tuner in it without any other modification? Or is it something else?

Dare we suggest: take it out and read the part number on the label - post it here.

Alternatively just pull the plug and see what stops working.

2016 Volvo V40 T5 Cross Country (4WD) with ALL the toys including adaptive cruise etc. etc. Osmium Grey with Blonde/Charcoal leather interior. Polestar performance "optimisation". (A much rarer model than a D2 S8 by the way!) Oh, and a brand new engine at just under 30,000 miles on the factory one!
Finally: gone, but not forgotten.....
1998 D2 PF S8. AgateGrey/Platinum. Every option (I think) except electric rear seats, tiptronic steering wheel, ski hatch, towbar & dimming door mirrors.
e.g. Cruise control, NavPlus/TV, Bose, GSM, Xenons, Solar roof, Parking sensors, Alcantara/leather everywhere of course. (internal dimming mirror added later)
1998 (very early) Ford Focus 1.8 Zetec; ABS/TCS, Heated screen/mirrors, Aircon, Auto-dim mirror, Leather, Trip computer, Cruise control, OEM Ford SatNav with CD changer.
And before that a lot of Rover 800s, a few oddities, a lovely Triumph Dolomite 1850HL with Overdrive and way back in my schooldays an Austin Seven aka Mini 850!

Yes... I will see if I can get the part number off it.

Just thought someone else may know what it was off the top of their heads. It has a big multi-plug connector and some fibre optic and maybe coax cables going into it, so I assumed it was the DAB radio, but it could be anything I guess.

Part number to follow.... thanks.

The wires look very much like speaker wires to me so I would suggest it is your amplifier. Looking at the size and shape of it I am guessing you won't have Bose or b&o so it will be the regular sound system amp. As yet we haven't had a d3 through the workshop without either Bose or b&o so I can't be 100%

Ahhh OK.. Yes. I don't have Bose or B&O, just a "standard" sound system (must be in a minute minority with that one), so that must be what it is then. Thanks. I will still try and get the part number off it just to make sure. Thanks.
