You might need to do a full VCDS scan to find out if something has gone into component protection, as it does seem to happen occasionally.
I've got a component protection fault on the Bose DSP, but it seems to be a common one that does not affect its functionality.

The phone kicked in this morning and working fine.
The voice recognition is now non existent. I press the button and it just says "Button not in use". I'll rerun the discs when I got time and do a full VCDS scan this weekend.

You may need to re-code the system to tell it you have voice for the phone.. I think some of my modules lost their correct codings when I did it.
