Nav Unit won't go back
I removed the Nav unit so I could use the power and optical loop to quickly test a 2nd hand DAB unit. DAB unit worked fine. I reconnected the Nav and now it won't click back into the cage or remove the keys. Nothing is blocking the rear of the unit. Can anybody cast some light on what I'm doing wrong?

When I've had my RNS out (which needs 4 keys, presumably the same sort) I remove the keys before putting it back.

Aftermarket DVB-T, reversing camera and full XCarlink (Bluetooth etc.). 2016 Volvo V40 T5 Cross Country (4WD) with ALL the toys including adaptive cruise etc. etc. Osmium Grey with Blonde/Charcoal leather interior. Polestar performance "optimisation".  (A much rarer model than a D2 S8 by the way!) Oh, and a brand new engine at just under 30,000 miles on the factory one!  Finally: gone, but not forgotten..... 1998 D2 PF S8. AgateGrey/Platinum. Every option (I think) except electric rear seats, tiptronic steering wheel, ski hatch, towbar & dimming door mirrors. e.g. Cruise control, NavPlus/TV, Bose, GSM, Xenons, Solar roof, Parking sensors, Alcantara/leather everywhere of course.  (internal dimming mirror added later)1998 (very early) Ford Focus 1.8 Zetec; ABS/TCS, Heated screen/mirrors, Aircon, Auto-dim mirror, Leather, Trip computer, Cruise control, OEM Ford SatNav with CD changer. And before that a lot of Rover 800s, a few oddities, a lovely Triumph Dolomite 1850HL with Overdrive and way back in my schooldays an Austin Seven aka Mini 850!

Maybe you can remove the whole thing and have a proper look on the bench? It has a 10mm nut and a 10mm bolt. One is on the right had side and is a bolt and the other above the unit in the middle and maybe you can get a tool on by prying the trim back or unclipping it? A 10mm spanner and a 10mm 1/4"-drive socket should be enough tools.

I'm with Andrew on this one - keys need to be removed by pressing on the sprung clip on each side so they release. It doesn't take any force on the key itself to free them. They should almost pop out. Then the unit will slide back into the cage

Thanks for the reply and suggestions. I left the Nav unit alone last night, will take a look at it a bit later on.
