Default First one in a while....

£100+ fill up that is, £100.58p to be precise for 80.53 litres of Shell V Power Nitro +

It's steadily climbing back up, the sneaky beggars. I wonder if my mates up North that were laid off by the oil industry when the price dropped will be re-employed soon?

Default Ouch - feeling the pain again recently

The most I've squeezed into the silver QEII was the princely sum of £126, and the highest price per litre of '5 star' was in a 24hr garage just outside of Yeovil at an eye-watering 157.9p. Not that I was complaining at the time as it was the only garage open at 2am in that neck of the woods. It was due to the V8's range dropping from 30 miles down to nothing in all of 400 yards on a hill squirt.

Not just the exchange rate either, the price of oil in USD has been steadily increasing, so in reality its more than 15%.
