Hard to believe we were sharing beers and ice cream in September at the tram museum. What a great day out that was! And the Peak Performance annual meet - another great event that Mark put on for us.

(BTW, just in case some of you will be sending a card, Lyn spells her name with one ‘n’ and no ‘e’.)

Yeah still feel shocked, we shared a table with Mark & Lyn for dinner that evening, it was a great end to a perfect day.

I know, I was thinking the same this evening. Both of these events typified Mark - thoughtful, considerate, generous with his time and effort, and very self-effacing.

I'm also sure there were some people at the Annual Meet in the Peaks that didn't even know that he'd organised it, and that was the way that he wanted it. But I also know for a fact that he got great pleasure out of making sure these events went well, and I'll really miss him and working with him on these.

I'm so shocked. And Stephen sums him up so well.
Weirdly mixed day, got to cuddle (legally, we're the only living grandparents) my grandson today, who was born by C-section on Saturday.
Then came home and heard about Mark, gone the same day.

We've both had our three-score years and ten, he was well short!
So many tragedies in the last year.

This is very sad news.

I'm still quite new to the forum & haven't had the opportunity to meet anybody yet.

When I posted on the introduction thread Mark was the first one to welcome me.

RIP

Extremely sad news. My thoughts are with his family and friends during this difficult time.

Lyn is still not ready to receive anyone but does appreciate how supportive everyone is.
I will keep you informed of anything that happens.

I spent a couple of hours today with Joe. A very nice, polite and capable young man. I feel that Mark's car will be in safe hands until Lyn makes a decision.

Ray, what are the rules (legal stuff) and Lyn’s preferences about the funeral? I’d like to attend, if only to park outside on the street to pay my respects. But not if Lyn would prefer a family-only event.
