Wipers only work flat out + random park ?

Hi, just new and searched about wiper problems, some people have had similar problems and wondering if I need a new motor???

Wipers only work at full speed and park as soon a I turn them off, is it common to be motor failure or maybe a switch problem?

Could be a new motor, or stalk... Give the mechanism a good squirt with oil/wd40 and see what happens.. mine did this for a bit and that seemed to sort it.
