Auto-fold side mirrors?
Does anyone know if the folding wing mirrors can be set to auto-fold when the car is locked?
This may be something that can be coded from within Vagcom/VCDS? (just like you can toggle on and off functions such as auto-lock doors at 10mph, horn honk on lock, etc)

I don't believe this can be coded but I bet it can be can be hard wired.
Basically if you can simulate the effect of 'switching to fold' using the ignition, the initiator (a single relay would do) would mean you can have fold on ignition off/on.

Sold on. 1998 1.8T A4 Avant FWD. Ming Blue (there's a theme here), PEX for the 97 S8. And a list of non VAG going back 40 years before I saw the light. |

It definetely can not be coded. I have a module here, that makes the mirrors fold by clicking on the carkey, but I didn't get it in my S8 yet. But @A8-Freunde are some guys that already have installed it. Over the forum we got a good price on these modules and bought them.
