Very unlikely. In case like that it just wouldn't work at all, but there is always a little possibility.
95% its down to the handles, to many reports of same random problems but no reports of water under the carpet.

Random issues with a single door would be down to the handle/antenna.. Multiple doors plus engine starting would more likely be the module, but as above, need to check for wet carpets.
